I have the singer mod, and one of my sims is a singer, and she is a one star celebrity, I don't know if it has anything to do with the singer career or not, cause she also performs on the street. but the singer mod definitely work. you just need to download the right one, it took me like twice till I figured it out. I just checked my mods I have two mods called: singer. I guess you need both of them to make it work, I don't remember if you need to download it twice or not, cause as I said the first time I tried it didn't work.
