Since there are no more whims... How do we accrue points to augment our sims thru the rewards store??

While whims are by default hidden they are still there and as always you invariably fulfill some during normal gameplay. If you want to get to the 100 whims milestone a little faster you can turn showing them on in settings but notice that it will not be much faster unless you ignore normal gameplay and concentrate on fulfilling whims.
