Why did the August 30th update disable the gameplay, environment, and pack settings when using mods?

Apparently, EA and the Sims Guru Team disabled these features for mod users, unless if not using any mods. But why? I have never seen this problem before, and it is a very big problem that conflicts with mod users especially with bugs that require mods that EA has refused to ever fix completely and arguably more boring without mods as well. Take for example that aging appears to be disabled by default when using mods since the August 30th update since gameplay feature is disabled as well. Why is EA intentionally trying to cause more conflict with mod users by doing this?

I also do not have an EA app either. Update: I repaired on Origin and verified all files in addition to deleting the thumbcache icon, but it did not fix the problem and apparently still seeing glitches from "saved games" (which as mentioned earlier I also checked the main menu in addition to saved games) even after me doing this. Maybe it is caused by at least one of the mods conflicting with the update? If it is not one of the specific mods either, then I do now know what else I am supposed to do. I also have a restoro program that is known to fix issues in the past with Sims games where I could try to fix the game from there; although, I would be very surprised if it actually does anything to remove the glitches, but I will let you people know later if it helps resolve the glitch problem. Also, the "repair save" option apparently only appears when I am turning the mods on.

  • It happened to me as well. Found out it was More Traits in Cas from the Pancake Mod for me. There's an update and now it works fine again

Thank you. Also, I experimented by adding only just one mod and found out from the "no autonomous toilet pranking mod"the game was working fine with that just one mod. I also use that same mod as you as well. Maybe that is the culprit and needs to be the most up to date. I would hate to stop using this mod just because of an update, because I really love this mod as well. Also, the restoro program did not help in resolving the glitch problem unfortunately. I think that it is safe say it is one of the specific mods causing this problem with glitches and a problem with saves not working properly.

I bet that's the culprit for you as well. I hope so.

  • After adding all of my other mods back besides the more traits mod from pancakes mizore package I found out that none of them were causing the glitches. The only mod left was the 1.77 version and works fine with 1.91 from the most up to date version. This means I can use the more traits again. It just kind of sucks that I have start to over by adding those traits back from scratch, but better than me not having this mod at the same time. I am glad I finally figured out the problem that was causing the glitches. It was only just that one mod, because all of the other mods were working fine that do not need updating.
