Make sure you delete the localthumbcache.package file every single time you either add or remove mods.

@khitteh When I search it up in my 'sims 4' folder I see it, but cant find it in any of the other folders inside, and I cant seem to delete it without seeing the thingy itself.
- 3 years ago@Avey-Waveyy i do see a 'localthumbcache' file, but i didnt know if i should delete it since it doesnt have the '.package'.

You must have file extensions set to off, which is why you don't see the extension - .package (this can be fixed if you want to change that setting).
Change settings as below if you want to show your file extensions -
- Open File Explorer (open any folder).
- Click the View tab.
- Select "File name extensions."
- Optionally, you can enable Hidden items.
- File extensions will now be visible.
