Working on custom sliders - Animation and height issues
Hi.
Maybe you know it, but simmythesims released a Height slider, replacing the foot slider. He certainly put a lot of work on it (thanks a lot for that!), and everybody was really looking foward to this kind of mod (you know, teen sims having the same size as adults...) but I'm trying to improve it as there are still some issues to be seen.
So, I'm currently trying to solve those problems. There are two of them that really bug me :
1- The Leg Stiffness Issue. However you are trying to make them shorter (as Simmythesims did by scaling Pelvis, Thighs, Calves and Feet down, or like I tried, inspired by CmarNYC's Sims 3 height slider, tha uses EA teen morph used for shortness and which moves and rotate the bones), even if it's by nearly nothing, the legs of the sims get stiff, like shown in the first picture. I think the same happens to arms. Is there a specific way to handle those bones to avoid those kind of phenomenon ?

2- The Feet "Not Sticking To The Ground" Issue. It was possible in the Sims 3 to have a height slider that has nearly no issues about the feet of the Sims, they where sticking to the ground. But in the Sims 4, even is the skeleton is pretty similar, whatever means I'm using to scale down my sims, It's impossible to get the feet to stick to the ground.

Is there someone on your team that is related to animations and those kind of bones issues ? I know that we won't have any real height slider in the game, but if it's possible to get something that has not too much issues, I guess many players would be happy with that.
Thanks in advance !
