Would Slice of Life Conflict With Acting Career?

Let me explain. I now have a Sim in the acting career. He's doing really well and has been fast-tracked to Sitcom Star. However, this time he has to Research Angry Emotion. I have tried to click on him and every now and again the Research Angry Emotion pops up, but once I click on it nothing happens. At all. I did a bit of research of my own, and it's supposed to give the Sim a temporary Angry moodlet in which you have to have your Sim quickly use the Mean interactions. I got to thinking about how some of my cc had interfered with the Private Practice mod, and that has made me wonder, if SOL (since it effects moods and buffs) might be the culprit?

Before I yank it, I was hoping that someone 'in the know' would be able to answer my question. Please and thank you, in advance.

  • @Bananas_45 Turns out it wasn't any of my cc or mods. I ended up getting help over at SimsRealistic Discord. I also thought it could be Private Practice. I just had to put him into anger mode, via the cheat and voila, he could fulfill the task. Today, I have to sort out getting him into the Flirty mode, as he's got too many other buffs in the way. I thought about the tonics he receives, but most of them were left at his parents' house when he left for uni. I know he has several Flirty ones, too. I suppose I could temporarily move him back home, long enough to gather his tonics, or I could use his aspiration points to buy one. I'll figure it out. Thanks for weighing in!
