@kawaiikuroeNot sure what you mean by the trait doesn't go away. At each stage of life, up until young adult, you choose one trait for your sims. By young adult you should have 3 traits that you chose. The traits your previously chose cannot be changed. (unless you use cheats and then you can change them all you want
@jocastanyxThere is a setting in the gameplay settings to turn off sim aging. It's called auto aging, you can turn it off for just the sims you control or for all the sims.

Aha.. Trait window doesn't go away after you've chosen the traits. Gotcha. Sorry, don't have an exact answer for that one. Can you still move your cursor around, control sims and whatnot when the window is stuck? If so, does going into "manage worlds" and then reloading back into the home get rid of it?
