I found the root cause, a bad controller. I bought a new one and all is perfect now. Woohoo!

    Hey there @InkedJeff

By left handle, do you mean the left stick on your controller? You should be able to navigate your inventory using that left stick.

Could you attach a quick video to your post of what's happening when you try to move around in your inventory for me please?

Here are two examples. This happens to me in many places in the game whenever there are dropdown menus. I don't believe it is my controller, because the left joystick works everywhere else in the Sims and in other apps on the PS5.

But I am certainly willing to re-install the game, buy a new controller, etc. Whatever it takes to resolve the issue.

Thanks for listening and responding so quickly! Much appreciated!

    @InkedJeff

Thanks for providing that! Let's try the following-

    1. Turn off Your system completely, let it sit for a few minutes and power it back on.

    2. Make sure your game is up to date.

    • Go to the PlayStation home screen.
    • Highlight the game you're playing and press the Options button on your controller.
    • Select "Check For Update" and install any updates that are available.
    • Restart the Console completely.

    3.  Make sure your console system software is up to date

    • Select Settings at the top of the PlayStation home screen.
    • Choose "System Software Update" and allow any system updates to install.
    • Reboot your PlayStation.

    4. Uninstall and Reinstall The Sims.

If these steps don't help, please test a brand new save file as well, let me know if the issue continues there.
