Can’t rotate room, house or lot on Xbox

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Xbox Series X
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Sp53: 1.assets.live-sp53.4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except Castle Estate kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to build mode and try to rotate the house or rotate the lot.
What happens when the bug occurs? After selecting “move house” or “move lot” and selecting the move arrow, pressing the rb/lb cancels the move action and cycles through the toolbar.
What do you expect to see? When a house or lot is selected to move, the rb/lb should rotate the lot or rotate the house.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure 

  • Hi there @stsmiler can I just double check your game has updated properly, I'm attaching an image of what your version number should be for you. To find it in your game, on your console home screen on the Sims 4 icon use the button with 3 lines on it and choose Manage Game and Add-ons and that will take you to the Manage the Sims 4 page. On the right hand side of the screen it should read 1.92.5.2300 like the attached image shows.

    If it's up to date, I would try reinstalling your game and add-ons and then load your game to see if the function has returned. It's working for me on Xbox Series X but that's with all content installed. I'm also attaching the troubleshooting steps for console too.

    If nothing helps then just pop a reply here as it may be a bug. I have briefly had a random issue like this which was resolved in a later update.

    Thank you for replying! I checked and I have the updated version. I cleared the reserved space and that seems to have solved the problem! Thanks again for your help. 

  • Hello to all. 

       I'm having the same issue on my Xbox Series X. I can rotate the rooms, but I can't rotate the house or lot. It keeps disconnecting me from the move house or lot and cycles through the tools. Like swatches, destroy, and the others. I don't know why they changed the controls, and left the X and Y buttons as quick access to two of the tools? But, I'm confused about a lot of the things that Maxis and EA Games does. Either way? Can this be addressed as soon as possible? Please?
