Looking through the threads a lot of us are having the same issue. Buttons will stop working. My joy stuck usually reminds active but that's it. I've tried resetting the console to clear the cache and restarted multiple times. No joy. Any other ideas?
Same! At first I thought my game file was corrupted (because it happens basically every time there's an update 😑) so I deleted my save and started a new one. Immediately did the same thing. I open build mode, I pickup and sell a couple things, pick up another thing and can't do anything but set it down. Press the start button, nothing. Open any menu, can't close it. I don't know why I keep spending so much money on this game when I constantly have to start over because it's always broken 😤

I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing this. I have been wanting to play and this weekend I finally had time and I can’t play now.
Same on PS4 and 5, works for 5 minutes and then you cant save or do anything.
Having the exact same issue on Xbox.
