Error code (0x8027025a) makes game unplayable
Hello everyone,
For the past six months, I have been unable to play the Sims 4 without deleting, and then redownloading, the game and subsequent stuff packs. This takes around 2 hours, so it's incredibly frustrating.
The issue comes about whenever I click on the game, and it simply won't load. It stays on the blue screen with the logo and franchise characters. Eventually the game crashes, and it gives a message that says "Sorry, the Sims 4 took too long to load" with the error code (0x8027025a).
For troubleshooting, I've tried:
- Unplugging the Xbox (both cords)
- Restarting it
- Trying the game again and waiting for it to load
- Cancelling out of quick resume
- Turning my TV graphics down to 1080p
- Turning the internet off on my console, and logging in with it off + turning it back on
- Clearing local data/saves on my Xbox
- Turning off the Sims delivery function in the settings
- Redownloading/deleting smaller expansion packs to see if it will work
- Deleting other games on the Xbox to make storage space
I'm frankly at my wits end. I've spent a decent amount of money on this game, and I shouldn't have to jump through hoops in order to play it properly. I just want a fix that will allow me to easily access my game, without waiting an hour to redownload.
