Error code 22 xbox

So I play the sims 4 on my xbox. I usually don’t create new games, I just build a lot and move in a household. Today I started a new game and made a household and went to move them in somewhere and I didn’t see any of my saved houses - everything was gone. I then (dumbly) built a house and SAVED the game that obviously had something wrong with it. WHy? Don’t know. Anyway, I restarted my xbox and opened the sims and there was an error code 22 message thing. I can’t find anything online about error code 22 for Xbox and how to fix it.  Also when I went to load games there were maybe 4 or 5 of my older games but nothing any newer than about two months ago. Help!!! I’ve spent a lot of time and money on the sims and it’s all gone!

    Error code 22 for the Sims 4 often means that the game is having a difficult time loading the files. Rebooting or power-cycling the system can often resolve this. Could you try completely shutting down your Xbox, unplugging it from the wall for 30-60 seconds, and then starting it back up?

    Error code 22 for the Sims 4 often means that the game is having a difficult time loading the files. Rebooting or power-cycling the system can often resolve this. Could you try completely shutting down your Xbox, unplugging it from the wall for 30-60 seconds, and then starting it back up?

    Hey there, @UnshavenBench44.

    Let's give a few things a quick try to see if it improves your ability to save and load your game.

    Firstly, let's check for updates both for your Xbox One, and for your The Sims 4. 

    Next, I will admit that as it has been a few months since we were last troubleshooting, there may no longer be an unaffected backup save on the cloud for us to try. However, if you do have one, let's try loading that. You can find how to manage your Xbox One cloud game saves here.

    Another method is to see if autosaving helps you get in and out of your game.

    1. From your game, wait for a major action to complete, such as getting a new job - This should autosave your game
    2. Open the game menu
    3. Select Manage Worlds
    4. Select Just Go to Manage Worlds
    5. Press Start again and select Exit to Main Menu
    6. Select Load Game
    7. Select the Autosave to load back into your game

  • I play Sims 4 on the Xbox 1 console.  The save problem existed back in 2016!  None of the answers help.  I am loosing all my save files following the instructions on screen.  Where is the console fix?  Please help.
