Ok so it’s not just me? This has been driving me absolutely insane. My sims are no longer making rational choices and having a lot of packs on Xbox is making this game unplayable

Gameplay improves on next gen Xbox but since cottage living the issues with Sims standing around nodding their heads is back.
I've tried 2 different households in different areas without cottage living stuff and it's still happening. It's worse when interacting with pets. This is what it was like way back when I added cats and dogs and for a while it was unplayable.
Walking a pet in Britechester for example, a short walk takes 4 or 5 hours and if she's not freezing for the first hour or so, she's spinning on the spot mid walk and I can't do a thing.
My Xbox one has a new owner who says it works great, no lags and he's added several games to it. So I guess that says it all.
I'm sure I heard a collective "what?" from the Sims community at the last (teeny weeny) update (lite).
