I have a problem with the latest DLC. I'm on PS5, playing the PS4 version on Sims 4.
I pre-ordered Cottage Living, downloaded it this morning, but nothing is available in game. When I check on "Packs" in the main menu, at Cottage Living it says "download to use". But when I check my console storage I see it's downloaded already.
I power-cycled my console, I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, I restored licenses. Sadly, none of these have worked ☹️
I’m on Xbox one and preordered the expansion pack. Mine says it’s not available to play until 1pm when it officially comes out.

On my Mac its saying that I never even purchased it, even though I preordered it back in June and they've taken my money already. I've tried signing out of my origin account and nothing changes. Every time I tried to go to EAs contact page I keep getting an error code. It has officially released in my time zone. I'm pissed
I preordered the game forever ago, was so excited to play then I heard it would be put later in the day, I installed it on my console manually, but it says download to play in the main menu.....wtf

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! I pre-ordered this pack a month ago on my MacBook and origin is saying I need to purchase it in order to play. I already have the exclusive content that came with ordering the pack before Sept 2nd in my game, so to me that feels like proof that I purchased it. I'm so pissed because I was so looking forward to playing this today after all this time ☹️
Mine is working now. I just got the update. I’m not sure about MacBook tho. Keep checking for updates for your game 🙂

Hi! I bought the Cottage Living pack yesterday, and today after 1pm installed it when it was available. In the Xbox settings it says it is purchased and installed. However, while in the game, it does not show up. Under the "my packs" section of the main menu homepage it still says "Download to Use."
I have uninstalled and re-installed the Cottage Living pack and the gnome extension, as well as fully reset my console afterwards. However it still says I need to download it to use it in the game and none of the content is appearing in the game. Thank you in advance for your help!
- @strawberrysummer Go into my games and apps and go to the sims. After that press to manage game. See if it’s installable there and it’s on the right storage device 🙂

same here on my mac. it showed i hadnt even bought it when i pre ordered it last month... so i cancelled the pre order, bought from origin on the main page, and it still isnt working... im pissed.
Did your game ever download cause mines look like this. And it’s saying it’s unavailable. So Now what happens to my money ?
- @WiggieSmallzBK i had that too - it said installed but was only 10MB. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling just the new pack - don't recommend that because after restarting my x-box all of sims was uninstalled (how?! why?!) so now it says I have a 4 hour wait for everything to reinstall

EA is investigating the issue and hopefully, there will be a fix soon.

I’m going to suspect that EA will fix the issue ASAP. They would be aware of it too, or not them it could be Microsoft
Everyone, if you see in the screenshot attached, they said they’re aware of the pack outage and are trying to fix it. Just be patient if you can 🙂
So for those of you who are still having a problem here's what I did because I was having the same problem. I went into my Microsoft account to see if I had for sure bought it. And it gave me the option to download it from Microsoft account to my Xbox and that seemed to do the trick
- @widowstorm95 i will try uninstalling and reinstalling - my microsoft account says it is installed but the file is only 10MB
- @GreenPlumbob26 That did not work - the download starts and then just quits. So very frustrating
