My Game is crashing. What can I try?

@manolobeach Are you receiving an error code? Also, the PS4 had a system software update just after the Sims updated. Please make sure you have that update installed. I would not rely on the PS4s auto update. Check it manually.
@ohh_dee7That error is a general error for PS4 and has nothing to do with the Sims game specifically. If you don't wish to do any troubleshooting for your system, then no one can help you. If you change your mind, I will supply a list of troubleshooting steps that you can follow. Or read the link I supplied to the error you are receiving. The same steps will be available there.
I'm getting the error code "CE-34878-0" when I crash!

If the crash is happening with the error code more than one time, there are a few troubleshooting steps for your specific Error Code. I would suggest checking all updates manually and not relying on the auto update on your PS4. Go through the steps one at a time and see if the game stops crashing after each step.
Occasionally it is useful for The Sims 4 team to collect user files (saves, videos, exception logs, etc.) in order to investigate issues.
These are the ways that you can share user files and media with The Sims 4 team:

Was a fix ever developed for this issue? I am experiencing it every single time I play the game. I play on a PS4 with no mods or custom content and I don’t use cheats. My PS4 has its original hard drive. My PS4 only crashes and gets this error code when playing Sims. No other game, including Fortnite. I had the same issue arise back when the December update was put out. It would crash with that general error code every single time I played, sometimes multiple times during a game session. Back then, I deleted my AutoSave file and rebuilt my database and that seemed to do the trick. Now, another update was put out recently and it’s doing it again. I followed the same steps that worked last time - deleted my AutoSave file and rebuilt my database - but this time, the crashes are continuing. It happens most often when saving my game, traveling in the game, and when exiting CAS and Build Modes. Combine that with the current issue with the Actor Career right now and it’s beyond frustrating. I waited the two Sim days, not letting my Sims leave the lot, not traveling, or going into CAS mode, or going into Build Mode, or any of those things so that my actress could actually go to her gig. I got the prompt to join her at her gig and in the middle of the loading screen to go to the gig, the game crashed and I got the ce-34878-0 error message. You’ve got to be kidding me. For the money I have paid for all the content to play this game, the amount of issues, broken items and glitches is mind blowing, incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable.
No fix yet unfortunately I’m having the same issue and I have refused to purchase another sims game until this is fixed. I have a normal PS4 not modded out all original hardware and we can’t get mods on the console version of the game I have all updates done all troubleshooting and still I crash.. the game gets boring because they can’t travel or even build or buy can’t change their outfits or anything without crashing. I’m over it all so very disappointed at the non response from EA. They have managed to take something I loved for 18 years become a basic financial burden. I own all the expansions and stuff and game packs over $600 worth of nothing at this point.
