Well, I built the house on a Willow's Creek lot at first and that's where it started crashing, so I moved it to The Ward Den in Del Sol Valley and the same thing happened. I have pretty much all the packs now so at this point, I'm kinda stuck no matter what. Lol But the workaround I found was NEVER going into CAS or Build/Buy directly from Live Mode and instead, going to Manage Worlds first and then going into CAS or Build/Buy from there. Haven't crashed since I've tried those ways... I hope this and the makeup get fixed soon.
I feel like I'm throwing more money at it when it really needs much more work on stability issues. When I see an update with Bonsai Tree fixes...well let's say that didn't go over so well in my house when I'd had high hopes! I've been pretty dismayed by the last 2 updates.
I saved Eco Living to add at Xmas with blooming rooms kit but am really hesitant now.

I personally cannot purchase more stuff when I can't even load the game an play it. I have exhausted all options now.

I've now crashed 3 times on startup today. Seconds into the loading screen. I had to power cycle my (purchased after the Sims virtually killed my Xbox one) Xbox series S console and delete locally saved data and do a data synch just to load up my game.
I could absolutely kick myself for purchasing Blooming rooms when I swore I wouldn't add another pack till this is taken seriously. I am not one bit amused (and I usually pretty much laugh all the time). I've read a press release of more new content today and I'm thinking nooope!

I've spent over an hour trying to load my game today. I did a console reset on my new Xbox series S which only has The Sims 4 on it plus DLC. I've done a data synch thank goodness as I hoped I'd not lost my saves again. I've now been looking at a loading screen for 30 minutes!!! I've got about 1k of kit here I can't use!! Today is the worst it's been. Tomorrow I'm going to try and reinstall everything. It doesn't look like I will get into my game today. I'm absolutely furious. It's been crashing 3 times a day on startup then once on exit and now I can't get into it. I got to the menu after 1 hour of hassle and pressed play now here I am... absolutely nowhere.
SimGurus? Little help here guys!!!!!!! We've paid a fortune to stare at blue screens listening to the Sims theme tune!!!

I've been reliably informed now that this is being looked at which is a big relief.
Sims Deliveries now also cause mine to crash on loading which is really frustrating as it takes a few attempts to load, I finally get to the Sims 4 homepage and it tells me I have to restart for the Sims Deliveries. When I do it crashes again and I'm once again trying to get back into my game and crashing numerous times on the way back to the homepage.
I do blame cottage living, I've bought the Sims with multiple add-ons for a loved one for Xmas and I've said to leave cottage living for now despite it being on sale and looking so appealing.
I'd uninstall it if I hadn't used it everywhere.
