Game File corrupted (Gallery/PS4)

Hey guys,

I just played Sims 4 and I wanted to save a family but it didn’t work because there would’ve been a systematical error. I then put my PlayStation 4 (First one from 2014) into standby and as I tried to put it on again it didn’t work. I pulled the plug as nothing would help and put it on again. As I put Sims 4 up again it said my game file would be corrupted even though my Save File was fine. It turns out it deleted EVERYTHING I have ever done on Sims since 2017/18 in the library. Is there a way to fix it?

  • @Teschnerd81 If there was corruption in the library file then it would have been deleted also. If you do not have the files backed up with PS+ or on a USB stick, they are lost.

It's a good idea if you do not have PS+ to purchase a USB stick, and back up any and all saved data periodically on your PS4 in case of corruption.

  • @Teschnerd81 If you did not power down your console properly before unplugging the console, you can corrupt your system, not just Sims. If you did not have a backup of your items on a USB or them saved on the gallery and they corrupted, they are lost. Your system deleted all corrupt data when it powered back on after you unplugged it.

@PoptartJuniper I mean, I know that save files can be lost but why did it delete my library from all things?! Is there no way I can save it somehow?
