Game keeps closing randomly after 9/18/24 update

Platform: Xbox Series S
version:2.1.6.2300

I have all expansion, game, and stuff packs

 problem: Ever since the 9/18/24 update leading up to the reaper’s rewards event, my game has been closing. It’s completely random and it doesn’t seem like anything in particular is causing it, but I haven’t had this issue since switching to an Xbox series S from an Xbox One. I want to uninstall the game and reinstall it, but I’m afraid my items from the last login rewards will no longer be there. Any suggestions?
