Game packs

I haven't played the sims 4 on my xbox one in around a month but I decided I wanted to start playing it again recently. I go onto my save file and it mentions something along the lines of the data not being all there so, naturally, I check to see what the problem is. Turns out there are a select few of the game packs that I already own and have had installed for quite a while are now acting as if they haven't been installed. I exit the game and I uninstall all of my game packs and the sims 4 and I then reinstall everything in hopes that it fixes itself... it doesn't and the same exact packs that were no longer on my game file (even though it said prior that they were installed) won't install. The game pack queues and after 1 second my xbox says "installation stopped"  and that there is "a problem with your game or app". I find it hard to believe that there is a problem on my xbox's side because I've recently installed two other games just fine and I've even restarted my xbox, turned it off and took out the power plug, and deleted local data. If anybody knows what's wrong or understands what I need help with please advise.

  • It's error 0x87e00031. Xbox gives me the solutions of restarting the console and try installation again (which I've tried), uninstall and reinstall the game or app (which I've tried), and try another storage device (which I haven't tried yet) but seeing as other stuff is updating and installing other games are fine is that the problem?

Thanks for these details! This error usually indicates that the console drive that you’re trying to install to is corrupt. Are you using an external drive currently?

  • Update: Still unable to reinstall the packs - Lovestruck, High school years, Island living, Realm of magic, Vampires. I've talked to xbox support and they ran me through a few things that I could do. I even reset my console and I still get the same error. They told me to just report it as there wasn't really any other solution. From hearing and seeing other people's experiences that (whilst not entirely the same) are similar, I think it's fair to say that the newest updates are the cause for such problems.
