LavaFire40 my game runs fine on Xbox Series X even with all content installed. Loading screens take a little longer with the full game but not excessively slow for me. I know it's not yet optimised for Xbox Series X and it's running the Xbox one version so that could be improved just to catch up with the amazing graphics that are possible on next gen for me. But my game works.
To run it on Xbox Series X over the years, after help from a Sims player at Xbox Support (if they're not a Sims player the help isn't as good... though they try) ages ago and a few years on the EA forums I learned it's all about managing in game storage so these are my tips.
🔸I clear my library and keep it mostly empty. This includes clearing pre made Sims and lots;
🔸I never run more than 3 save files, currently it's 2 and one is a backup;
🔸I go into Other Households and clear some Townies after every time I've played. If you have hundreds of them I've found it causes massive issues like lagging and crashing. I clear them daily as there are a lot being generated since adding For Rent, especially after travelling to public lots;
🔸I always clear personal and build inventories of previous Sims and households. It causes issues otherwise, especially the build mode household inventory. When I finish a household and move on I clear all inventories, even the fridges;
🔸I don't store photographs. I've had some issues with crashing and error codes;
🔸I save regularly, especially before travel, CAS and Build Mode;
🔸I often clear locally saved data and sync up with the cloud again by selecting Sims 4 on the console home screen using the menu button (3 lines) >Manage Game and Add-ons>Saved Data. You'll see 2 sets of data, pick the set next to your gamertag/username and select delete from console only (this step should be carried out while the game is not running). Then immediately load up your game and it will sync up with the cloud and retrieve your data;
🔸 Powercycle regularly, especially if the Xbox is always plugged in. Switch it off with the Xbox button on the front for around 10 secs until it's shut down completely and the light stops flashing. Unplug the power cable to completely reset the power supply. Wait at least 10 secs then plug it back in. Switch the Xbox on with the power button. I always do that after a crash.
As long as I stick to these little rules and troubleshooting steps my game runs fine. It rarely crashes but that can still happen. There is a current reported issue where settings in Game Options for console are resetting each time the game is loaded however and my game is affected since the last patch, looks like it's affecting a lot of console players. That report is here:

Hope this helps.
Here's a link to the Console Troubleshooting Guide and Known Issues. It's not letting post that guide as a link for some reason (invalid html message 🤔). It has links to known console bugs and additional advice:
