Help! Missing Gallery! No Grim's Event at all!

Please help! I am on The Sims 4 on PS4 on the free base game version and my Gallery is missing! It is not available at all, the tabs at the top of the screen with options for The Gallery and My Profile are no longer there. My Library is still there but I have no ability to download anything from The Gallery! Access to My Profile is also gone! Additionally, the Grim Reaper's Event did not show up in LIVE Mode at all! This is incredibly frustrating. Everything I planned to do with the game today is completely unavailable. Just updated the game today October 11th, 2024. On my PS4 it says The Sims 4 Version 2.00 installed 55 minutes ago.

  • Persistence paid off this time. My game glitched, but I was able to solve it. Just in case this happens to someone else, I want to detail what triggered the glitch in my opinion and what solved it for me on console. I hope this does not happen again! First, I turned my game off without saving anything, (don't save or exit to main menu, just close the app) then checked my internet connection, went to the Playstation Store, then exited it. (Since you need the internet working in order to navigate the store, I do this when the internet connection seems to be the primary issue.) Then, I reloaded my game and this time the Grim Reaper's Event pop-up finally showed up. Next, I started a new game. That sent me back to CAS Mode, and this time, the tabs were available again. What a relief. I am going to overwrite the older save file I last loaded up because the Grim Reaper's Event did not show up on that save. So far, the Grim Reaper's Event works fine with newest save files. Another thing I noticed is that pop-ups sometimes impair the Grim Reaper's Event. This is the second time Grim's Event did not show up after a pop-up ad for the new pack pre-order or a pop-up from buying a pack. Hopefully, my Sims 4 glitches and issues are resolved now on this version, but I need to play it for a while to confirm that. Hopefully this post can help someone else. Will attempt saving a family on the Gallery now to make sure uploading works properly. This glitch can be triggered by a weak internet connection, the pop-up ads or notifications for a new pack purchased, or by using an older save file.

I'm having a similar issue with the game not showing. And I did all of those steps it still won't show. Another thing that keeps coming up is reset password which isn't helping either I so don't want to lose out on this but I cannot for the life of me get it to work :-(

Hello my game is working now, so I will try my best to help you. What platform are you experiencing the issue on? Did you already update your game to 2.00? Describe the reset password situation, is EA asking you to do this or is it for Sony, Microsoft, a gaming console, etc.

Describe in detail what happened when you first noticed a problem.

My issues seemed to be caused by: a poor internet connection, a glitch with the Gallery, and or pop-ups for recently purchased packs or pre-orders interfering with the Grim Reaper's Event.

If you can get your game running again, save it at least once an hour, save it to USB if on PS4, save to cloud on XBOX, make back up save for PC.

Another suggestion: if you have Sims 4 on another platform or system, the Grim Reaper's Rewards carry over from PS to XBOX, etc. on the same screenname. So, if you have a second copy of the game (and the Base Game is free now) you can play that one and you will have the rewards on both (unlike the paid DLC).

Also, send your Sims and houses to The Gallery if you can use it. You can download your creations again if you ever have to start over with the free Base Game version, etc.
