More optimization for console please

The stuttering was sometimes never so bad in console but I noticed it recently started or got worse and it was one of the reasons I took a break from the game 3 months ago, I enjoy the sims alot and would like to keep enjoying my time with it. I noticed the sims team has started putting effort into fixing bugs and technical issues so I decided to write this post. Whenever I would move my camera the game would either occasionally stutter or stutter really bad the same goes for when I am going in and out of build mode. It takes quite a while to load into some lots (while I understand that this could be caused by how big or how cluttered some lots could be but other times that just isn’t the case) thats mainly what i wanted to discus about since the stuttering when playing the game has increased a bit before lovestruck increased and continues to stutter occasionally to this day. This was my experience and I wanted to share it, the console in which I play the sims is the ps5. With this post I would like to say to the sims team to please better optimize console for it to be as smooth experience just like when playing on PC. The sims 4 is still being held back on the ps5 (due to it being a ps4 version) and cannot take full advantage of its hardware

  • @Sl3ighking I think I must of got lucky as I used to have really bad lag, to the point it was unplayable without restarting the game, which kinda breaks the moment.
However with the last 2 updates that have come out mine has pretty much gone? Have you updated it recently and noticed the same?
It used to be really bad when going between build and live mode, and the only way to briefly get rid was to open a random menu from the main menu. I'm also ps5 so very much understand how annoying it is for their not to be a PS5 version, only had the console since last December so I knew the lag wasn't from an old console or bugged down system 🙂

Yes @cbarber89 , I have to say with patch 1.99 released on 09/18/2024 with reducing memory usage and so on. It did really improve my experience as the game was running more smoothly after the patch then it did before, playing the game I was pleasantly surprised and had no complaints nor stutters at all.Except for one time it did stutter, my game froze, time in game was moving but my sims weren't doing the action they were supposed to do and kept standing still. trying to speed up time or slow down or even stop it also didn't work as the input was being ignored and nothing was being changed. The game literally froze, but after a minute it went back to normal. I'm hoping they continue to regularly optimize the game from time to time (especially on console), like in between patches or something..
