My sims 4 won't start

So my sims 4 on my xbox one console won't allow me to enter the game since the update. No matter what I do the game won't register when I press the A button to start. I have tried literally everythin...

    Hey!  The only solution I've found is that you may have to uninstall and reinstall everything about 5 times and reboot the console after each reinstall for the game to right itself. My own game console ended up being on the verge of death after some other bugs were brought up. However, if you have the time and an insane amount of patience, reinstalling it should eventually help to fix the 'press x to start' not working issue. This is a bug that was never properly patched and happens to randomly pop up after recent updates.

Hey! Are you still having this issue now / if you’re not how long did it take for the bug to get patched? As of the new update (4th Dec 24) I’ve had trouble getting past the ‘press X to start’ screen, however I play on my PlayStation 4 not an Xbox. My controller is working perfectly fine, and the X button works great for other games, I’ve restarted the application and console multiple times so I’m not sure how I’m meant to sort this out! Any help is appreciated!
