@Rae_Regenbogen Can you see if your console is joining you to a chat party or something when you are playing? If you are in a party the console will try to find a mic and headset.

I don’t see any parties, and I’m not, nor have I ever been, in one before. Do you know if there’s a way to turn this feature off to see if that’s the issue? It’s weird because this only happens with Sims 4. I don’t have this issue with any of my other games.

@Rae_Regenbogen Do you have another controller charging on your playstation?

Hey! I checked and don’t see anything under chat parties, so maybe it’s trying to join me to one and doesn’t show it?
I only have one controller, but when you mention it, I only notice this when it is connected to the console. I haven’t noticed this happening when the controller isn’t connected. Maybe this is a technical issue as opposed to a bug? If so, would you mind moving it to the technical issues board?

@Rae_RegenbogenThis post is in the correct forums, so no need to move it. The only thing I could find on this is when users had a controller connected to their playstation they would get this microphone connect/disconnect popup frequently. and it was a bad cable. Try replacing the cable you are using on the controller and see if the issue persists.
