  • Hey! I went into CAS to look for an answer to another question. While there, I linked and then unlinked her mermaid form (I had not tried this before). I then edited her mermaid form again, saved the household to my library, and restarted my game.
SHE HAS A TAIL NOW! Yay!!

  • IDK if it is important, but I should also mention that the affected mermaid’s mother was both a mermaid and infected by the Strangerville mother plant?

@Rae_Regenbogen Was the Sim born before or after the patch ?

I assume the hybrid bug was also fixed for console but Sims 'created' before the patch are still bugged.

When you go to CAS, do they really look messed up ? What happens if you change the tail there ? Is it visible afterwards ?

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes, the mermaid was born before the patch.

Everything looks fine in CAS. Nothing seems “off.” I have changed the tail on two separate occasions (once before posting about the bug, and once after your comment), but it is still MIA when she swims.

@Rae_Regenbogen Does the mermaid have a proper hydration bar ?

Are there any indications that she is in fact a hybrid-alien-mermaid aka, dies she have alien powers ?
  • Her hydration bar is normal.

She never had alien powers since she is only half alien, but she is able to do the secret handshake with other aliens.

She also wasn’t born with green skin like other alien babies. IDK if that matters though. I assumed it was because she was born a mermaid?

@Rae_Regenbogen Does sound like she's a hybrid. Unfortunately I don't know of any way to check hidden traits on console.

You could try eating kelp to turn her back though to see if she turns into an alien (just for testing)
