(PS4) Not cleaning plates properly

After the latest patch my sims no longer clean up the plates properly, they just collect them all together and move them to a table in another room, the maid does the same thing. When I tell them to ...

    Check your house for plates on a shelf. Sims will put the plates on the shelf and then can't clean them off. Once you clear the plates, your sims should resume doing dishes like they are supposed to.

Ok, dragging the plates doesn't really work very well either, sometimes they just get carried somewhere else in the house.

Sometimes when the pile of plates is picked up and put down the size of the pile changes.

When the maid comes over she spends most of her time staring at the pile.

    Also, when my sims are eating they no longer use the tables and chairs, most of the time they take food out of the refrigerator and stand in front of it to eat.
