PS4 Sims 4 game issue

Hello everyone recently I wanted to get back into playing the sims 4 again but recently I can't play or control what characters do to get trophies I need on PlayStation  account. I can't make them do what I need them to do with the cursor as it's not coming up and letting me change their clothes or make them do actions in the game and I only can switch between characters. Yes before you mention it I have  factory reset my device not long ago and deleted the game and then reinstall it but for some reason it won't play the way the sims 4 is meant to be played please help as I would love to play the game again. Also I have an another sim in the sim household I have my sims family in and he's not supposed to be there and I can't kick him out myself nothing is working he shouldn't even be still in the house when I moved him to the desert world in the sims universe as I used the goth family to afford a home on the sims and then moved them again and Mortimer is stuck in my house I can see him but I can't kick him out or make him leave.
