Yes, this is possible! All you have to do is enter create a sim with the sim you want, then save them to your library. Then, go to the menu and select New Game. Go into your library and select your saved sim, then just start playing with them normally. This will create a new saved game in the base world with the same sim, and any cheats you enable will only apply to that particular save file. Just be careful not to save over the wrong file when you do! 😉
