Re: Window placement problem [Xbox and PS4]

Yes i have tried R1 and L1 but this does nothing. tried pressing before selecting a window and after selecting a window but again this does nothing. 

Okay, are you stuck in room placement mode? Are you unable to switch back to single placement?

No the opposite, stuck in single placement. restarting doesn't do anything either.

Okay! This could be an issue with how your walls are placed or where your roof is, if you have one. Try cycling through no walls, half walls and full walls while placing the windows, then R1 and L1 to switch between single and room placement. You could also try just building a square room an seeing if it will let you use room placement on that. If the game's not letting you switch at all, I'm not sure what is wrong, but I know there was an update released that fixed some of the issues in build mode, so you could make sure you've installed it. 

Okay...I've given you all the advice I can think of. I'm not sure what is wrong, but I hope it's fixed in the next patch. I wonder if my game is doing this too...I haven't tried using room placement yet.  Sorry I couldn't help you more! 🤨

So since im not a full member and cant ask the forums...can anyone tell me how on sims 4 on xbox one u disable the auto window feature? I for the life of me cannot get my cursor to allow me to select anything outside of color and window height...i know its probobly something simple but i cant figure it out lol please help

I know this was years ago but if anyone still is confused I just figured out mine by doing exactly what it is told above but make sure when you press Windows that you change it from “By Room” to “By Window” when choosing the type of window u want. Then it’ll let you use the cheat properly. I had it by room which conflicted the free object movement.
