I’m playing on Xbox doing a no cheats run, and I just wanted to change my Sim’s outfit but the robot arm from the Discover University pack will not come off. I’ve tried editing in CAS, changing outfits, switching careers to trigger different work uniforms, putting on event costumes, travelling to different lots, and even turning the Sim into a vampire to see if it would reset anything. Nothing’s worked. I really don’t want to use cheats, has anyone found a fix for this?
squidkiller5000 if I remember correctly, you actually click on the Sim themselves, in live mode to remove the robotic arm. I think there's an option on the Sim's personal pie menu to remove it there.
There is no option to remove the arm unfortunately I have done a search for possible solutions but none out the ones I found have worked, it doesn’t help that I’ve figured out my vampire dark form is somehow connected to it
squidkiller5000 I've had the chance to test this now on Xbox. I clicked on my Sim and the option "Remove Robo Arm" is on the 3rd page of the Sim's personal pie menu. I had to select "More Choices" twice to see it. I've changed her to a Vampire and switched to dark form as she's wearing the arm and the option "Remove Robo Arm" is still available and in the same place in her personal menu. Have you searched right through the options on your Sim's pie menu and is it not there? On mine it's right next to "Shout forbidden words".
If it's not where it's supposed to be, I'd try a full reinstall of your game and content. When I've had missing functions that's helped before.
I’ve looked through the menu over and over again I’ve tried the vampire dark form fix, I’ve tried uploading my character and redownloading them the arm is fused to the character, it won’t let me put on the mech suit and the arm is no longer in my inventory, I think the only way it can be fixed is with cheats or a update to the game and I really don’t want to use cheats
squidkiller5000 the arm isn't in the inventory while it's being worn. It returns there after being removed. The command to remove it is on the Sim. I would reinstall your game and content to see if that fixes the missing option in your Sim's pie menu. I'm looking at mine now as she's wearing the arm, I click on her and see page one of the pie menu which has options like "Actions", "Outfits" for example, then I click "More Choices" and see the next page with more options like "Open Umbrella" and "Go Jogging". Then I select "More Choices" and find "Remove Robo Arm". Once I select that the arm is removed and goes back into the inventory. You can't wear it with a full body outfit either btw. Fully reinstalling your game might help.
