Saves wiping from console

Over the past several weeks I have now experienced three separate instances of save corruption on Xbox One. This has happened on different save files, not just one household.

The first save was a legacy save that disappeared completely. When I launched the game, the Load Game option was gone and I was taken to the New Game screen as if no save existed.

I started a completely new save. It worked normally for several weeks with no issues. Then I began noticing strange behavior before the save failed. The Gallery and Library started acting abnormally. Photos I took in-game became black or displayed question marks. Gallery lots showed red Xs and were marked as corrupt. Eventually the game stopped saving and produced save errors. That save was ultimately lost as well.

I then created a third save. Again, it worked perfectly for weeks before the exact same pattern happened.

This most recent incident followed this sequence:

  • Gallery and Library started behaving abnormally.
  • I could not save my house to My Library.
  • I could save my Sim, but it immediately appeared in My Library with the llama thumbnail and was marked as corrupt.
  • The game then failed to save with Error Code 34.
  • After restarting the game, the Load Game option disappeared completely and only New Game was available.
  • My most recent household and lot were no longer present in My Library.
  • I completely uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4, performed a hard reboot of my Xbox, reinstalled all 18 owned add-ons, and allowed everything to reinstall completely.
  • Despite this, Load Game never returned and the save could not be recovered.

Additional information:

  • Xbox One (approximately 6–7 years old).
  • Only one active save file at the time of the corruption.
  • Own 18 packs.
  • No mods or custom content (console).
  • This has now happened across three different saves, suggesting it is not isolated to one household.

The most concerning part is that every incident followed the same progression: Gallery/Library corruption first, save failures second, then complete loss of the save.

I am posting this because I believe this may be related to the ongoing save corruption issues affecting console players. I would appreciate any information on whether this is a known issue, whether it is currently being investigated, and whether there are any plans for a fix. At this point I no longer feel comfortable investing time into new saves because I have lost multiple households following the same sequence of events.
