Sim profile and entire bottom panel disappears after using build mode.

I’m on Xbox and have had this issue for a while but recently it’s been happening more and more often. When I close BB mode, the panel at the bottom with all of your sims info, traits, needs, etc. disappears completely and there is no way to get it back. I have to completely reload the game. When I do try to go to main menu, the screen goes white and just plays the loading music on a loop so I have to then close the entire game to play again… kind of annoying when it comes to playing rags to riches, having children and having to redo their rooms when they age, or wanting to just change a few things every now and then.
