Sims 4 - PS4 Console - Button issues

Hi, just a quick one really. Since the last update my “o” button takes around 30 presses before it decides to work. At first I thought I was my controller but I’ve connected at least 6 different controllers to my console AND bought a brand new one, only for them all to have the same issue. The button works perfectly fine in literally every other game i play. Is there like a quick fix for this or do I need to wait for another update?

Edit - for clarification, the 30 presses of the button has to happen everytime I want to use it, not just one time and then it works for the rest of my gaming session. Every single time I want to back out of a menu or literally do anything with it, I have to press it 30 times.

  • Hi there @JaedynVipera_exe

Let's try the following, let me know if you're still seeing issues after these steps:

    1. Turn off Your system completely, let it sit for a few minutes and power it back on.

    2. Make sure your game is up to date.

    • Go to the PlayStation home screen.
    • Highlight the game you're playing and press the Options button on your controller.
    • Select "Check For Update" and install any updates that are available.
    • Restart the Console completely.

    3.  Make sure your console system software is up to date

    • Select Settings at the top of the PlayStation home screen.
    • Choose "System Software Update" and allow any system updates to install.
    • Reboot your PlayStation.

    4. Uninstall and Reinstall the game:

    • Go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Delete.
    • Select a game or application.
    • Set check marks beside the data you wish to delete or Select All.
    • Select Delete > then OK to confirm your decision.
