Are you doing something specific in the game when it crashes? As I was telling wyatt, it's possible the update or game itself didn't install properly. I'd try to reinstall the game to see if the problem disappears.
If not, are you doing something specific when the crash happens? For example, some players are reporting the game crashes for them when they organize a wedding.

I reinstalled it and it crashed yet again. Saying,

- I'm really starting to think I'm overloading the game. My ps4 started crashing after I built a motel with assets amounting to 690,000 simoleons. I can access that lot and I can even access other save files with less assets and less Lots, but every time I try to go to any other house on the save file with the motel, it crashes.
I had the exact same problem, I even contacted Playstation Customer Service with no help. I think it's the game not having the correct update for playstation. I got mine for Christmas also. I had a grand theft auto game on playstation 4 that played perfectly fine its just the sims 4 that crashes every 5/10 minutes during gameplay during different activities. I returned my PS4 and got an xbox one s and now I'm able to play the sims 4 perfectly fine during game play. It just sucks I had to change my console to play the game. I heard from a worker at gamestop that ea is working on an update and that there is a problem with the sims on playstation 4. He said they an update every month. Unfortunately everyone just has to be patient. I couldn't be patient so I just switched systems since mine was brand new. Reminds me of how Apple will have a bad update they would release then have to work on a new update with bug fixes.

- I’m having exactly the same issue. I have all the updates and this has been happening since I installed the expansion packs. The thing is, EA, this has happened before on the Sims. It doesn’t matter what the characters are doing, the game randomly crashes. What’s more, the menu is really buggy and there are problems with using the phone menu, clothing menu, and inventory etc. at random times. You need to start fixing the bugs! I will not be buying the next SIMS if you can accept people spending hundreds of pounds for a buggy game.
If you’re not sure about how to fix the bugs, go and talk to Bethesda... they know how to make games that don’t bug. Their games are much larger and more complex too. It’s unacceptable in this day and age, with a system as capable as a PS4, it’s really not on.I stopped playing after spending for all dlc content. Crashes every time. Today I seen update ad got excited....only to be let down its still crashes. I also know for a fact it's not ps4. The fixes EA give in forums does nothing but give false hope. Still crashes,still want refund....
