I had a similar issue with my arrow cursor disappearing after using the camera before the DU update. Highly annoying! However after someone's helpful advice of pressing down on R3 until I'm in first person view then repressing until I'm in normal third person view again it wouldn't return. I had the keep reloading the while game or restarting the whole box. This got rid of the issue, I know you said you've tried everything but have you tried that yet? Saves ages on reload times / restarting / desires to destroy the game. Hope that helps.
Note: R3 being the mini joystick on the right side of the controller.
I have tried restarting the game and the whole box but same issues. Are you saying i should try the joystick thing before I save and restart the game?
