Sims 4, Sim gets stuck doing one thing (Console)

Ever since this new update here recently, that changed the load in. I've been having glitchy issues. I'll be able to play for a few hours then have to save a few times before it fixes itself. I'll be playing and the sim will keep doing whatever action they were doing before even if you cancel out of it and choose a different one. Right now, the only way I've been able to get out of it is to save and exit.

have you tried resetting the sim?
if you enable cheats you can shift click on the sims (on xbone click b+a on the sim) and then chose the option "reset object", I always use that when one of my sims get stuck, does not solve the original issue but it's better than having to save and exit all the time.
