Sims 4 Sims won't move can't do actions

Just got the game on Ps4 this past Saturday. I have been playing fine but now my one Sim will not do any actions. He just stands there and the actions never move down. How do I fix this?

Same issue 11/29/2017 on Xbox one. Trying to chat with support - getting the run around.

  I’ve experienced this too and what worked for me was bringing up the game menu and letting it sit there and in the background you’ll see the actions move down and stuff

    I found a solution that worked for me. I transferred the stuck SIM to another household and played my current one for a few minutes. Then I transferred my SIM back and everything works as normal. Hope this helps!
