Sims 4 won't save on Xbox and PlayStation

At the moment I'm assuming there's a "day one" patch that didn't get released along side the early access. With pretty much every game I've gotten early access to, the day one patch usually releases on the actual release date instead of with the early access. That's my theory so far anyway.

I had a long post explaining in detail all my experimentation with this, but I got an authentication failed error that erased it all. I have run a bunch of different tests, traveling to a number of places, and the save game glitch seems to happen if I travel with another sim. I will fiddle around with it some more later. I would like to point out that the various festivals and some other important interactions are for groups. This needs a fix, preferably SOON.

Oh that is bad, PatientMental83. I just tried going to the spice festival with Mortimer Goth who was at my house. I saved while there, but when I got home I could not save again. If you are getting it going around on your own, that means it is not just the one thing, BUT... EVERY time I do not go home with whomever I went to a venue with, it will not save anymore. I am getting really annoyed.

Thanks everyone for adding information to this thread. 

@Odjit31 I wouldn't recommend reinstalling the game as that doesn't fix the save where you are having issues. Instead, you can start a new save game.

@trinitarian1979 thanks for that. Did you have the same progress saved in the 3 save slots? When you tried to reload them one by one, did you perform the same actions in all of them before trying to save?

@aleciaaan thanks for clarifying that travelling doesn't autosave as it should for you, but going to manage worlds does. Hopefully you workaround can help others in this situation.

I believe all three were the same saves. I don't exactly recall my actions prior to the three saves. All i really remember doing after saving then trying to save until it failed was going to work, doing activities at home and traveled once to the night club. After reloading each save and immediately trying to save on each file, it doesnt work. I'll be testing that 'manage world' work around after this though.

I'm keeping an eye on this issue cause my daugther is coming here next week for  thanksgiving break and shes looking forward to playing so i got to keep on top of this. Do you know of any official statement from the devs? Like they identified the issue or they are still looking into it? A friend on xbox says he's experienced the same problems so out the 3 people i know who played this game we all got it. 

Good luck on finding the fix and thanks for bringing sims 4 to consoles. I hope for both of our sakes this will be a quick fix lol.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play on ps4 and try to save. Sometimes it will save sometimes it wont
What happens when the bug occurs? Everytime I press save, I go to save it into its file, sometimes it will come up with " do you want to overwrite?" To which I say yes. Sometimes I doesnt say it. But then nothing happens, it doesnt save at all, so now I'm having to leave my playstation 4 on overnight because I've made so much progress that I cant turn it off. This has happened multiple times now
What do you expect to see? To be able to save the game as normal
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
