So I preorder sims 4 for Xbox one. I have EA access so I started playing early access, but I can't save my game

Thanks everyone for adding information to this thread.

@Odjit31 I wouldn't recommend reinstalling the game as that doesn't fix the save where you are having issues. Instead, you can start a new save game.

@trinitarian1979 thanks for that. Did you have the same progress saved in the 3 save slots? When you tried to reload them one by one, did you perform the same actions in all of them before trying to save?

@aleciaaan thanks for clarifying that travelling doesn't autosave as it should for you, but going to manage worlds does. Hopefully you workaround can help others in this situation.

Okay, so a couple, massive, save-related bugs, i will try to provide as much info as possible

I Played for 13 hours yesterday, saving every 30 minutes. started my game today, to find it only saved the first 3-4 hours.

I have uninstalled all dlc and base game, and reinstalled all.

1. I recieve no error messages when saving. Saving icon appears, very very short lag in save process, but appears to save

2. This is where I think the issue lies. List of save files are almost all the exact same (time in game when saved, character in household, etc) even though i created multiple save slots, at different points in the game. It appears that the autosave slot is copying its information to the other save slots.

3. However, when loading each save slot, the progress that is loaded does not match the information listed on the save slot, and they are all different saves. They all appear to be autosaves though, because the points loaded are not the points I have saved manually

4. The autosave slot is not loading my most recent played save, even though the information is supposedly accurate.

I have played two files with and without cheats, and no difference.

It seems the saves are not restricting their info and data to their own save slots, and the information is just spreading between all saves, making it harder to distunguish which saves they are.

I have waited several years for this game to come to console, and expected a rough start. Im not mad about it, mostly annoyed. If there is more that I can do/try, please ask! I want this to be a success.

Unfortunately I tried that and the same problem persisted. I’m stuck in my Sims world with no ability to save hours of progress just to throw it all away. Hopefully this gets resolved soon!

i am having the same saving issues except for my Playstation and i am having issues traveling. i go to my phone and go over to the car but when I press down to go to travel the curser jumps to a different spot on the screen

Hi I have recently started playing the sims 4 on Xbox one and when I went in to play today my progress was gone. I had saved the ģame at least 3 times since then but my game did keep glitching out so I hope I haven't lost all my work. I still have some of the game saved but I have lost hours of work. Please help!

It might be related, and it's something I had on my big list of bugs, but when you go to load a save file (at least for me) it always shows all the save files with the current date and time instead of when they were saved. I never just hit continue as I find that always leads to lost progress on the autosave file. I manually save and then exit and save creating another save file. I actually have 3 save files but I only ever save two at a time and they still all appear as the same date and time when I go to load them.

I'm also having this problem and and have been since Sunday (12th November 2017). The issue did indeed occur on many saves (I've re-started about 5 times now with different saves and things), and always occurred with Sims had travelled. After reading this thread and seeing that travelling seemed to be the common thing, I started a brand new game (AGAIN) I did not travel anywhere. I kept to my apartment and things went fine for hours however just after a notification that one of my SIMS (A Vampire) was ready to Age Up, I found that the game would not save. I had not travelled anywhere and frankly this is beyond ridiculous.
As a Live Streamer this is extremely irritating and disappointing to myself and many. Not impressed EA. I have contacted support and was left waiting for 40 minutes for a text chat that never happened.

Same thing is happening for me. It happened last night and I lost an hour of playtime. I started playijg the same file today and it let me save. I am trying to save now, and it is doing it again. The only thing I can think of that is similar is when I travel with my sim to a different area (not counting work), when I come back I can't save. Anyone else having this issue when traveling?
