Sims 4-Xbox One: Can’t Click On Objects

Hi! So I’m a new Sims 4 Xbox One user and for a week now my game has been perfectly fine; however, after making a bunch of new families for one of my saves today, my game is starting to act up. Whenever I go to click on any objects, the object becomes highlighted but I can’t click on it to perform any interactions and this goes for interacting with other sims as well. I’ve seen different threads on how to fix this issue on PC but like I said, it’s on my Xbox One. I was wondering how I could fix this issue on my system? I’ve restarted my console several times and I’ve tried going in and out of the game and it’ll be fine for a little bit but after performing a few interactions the problem occurs again. I don’t know what else to do so any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you so much!
