The “You have lost your connection” warning keeps reappearing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? 1.226 (I believe)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Get famous, get to work, get together, discover university, city living and cats and dogs. Game packs: Realm of magic, strangerville and parenthood. Stuff packs: Toddler stuff pack and backyard stuff pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Disconnect from PlayStation Network.
What happens when the bug occurs? The “Caution: you have lost your connection to PlayStation Network” warning constantly appears, making the game unplayable until the network or game is reset, and both of those don’t always work to get rid of the bug.
What do you expect to see? The warning to only appear once or when using things like the gallery.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Will provide further evidence when possible.

  • Hi there, @MacTheMacintosh.

We should go through some connection troubleshooting. Let's start with the basics. I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • I’ve found that the easiest thing to do is to reset your PS4. Thanks for the help!
