The Sims 4 stuck on loading screen – Xbox

The Sims 4 stuck on loading screen – Xbox

I’ve launched The Sims 4 on my Xbox, but it’s been stuck on the loading screen for around 25 minutes. The loading bar gets so far and then stops moving completely.

I’ve tried closing and relaunching the game twice, as well as restarting my Xbox, but the issue is still happening.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed that the game has been taking progressively longer to load to the main menu, but this is the longest it’s ever taken. Previously, it would eventually load, but now it’s been stuck for 20+ minutes with no progress.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone know what might be causing it? Any advice would be appreciated!

  • I also play on Xbox One and my loading times into the game are regularly 25-30 minutes. As I type this, it’s been 20 and the bar hasn’t moved at all. It will eventually move but I think it’s completely ridiculous for it to take that long every single time!

I played yesterday and was shocked that it only took 20 minutes from opening the game to playing. I guess I’m not so lucky today.

If I didn’t have all the packs I’d go out and get a PC to play on instead.

This isn't just happening on Xbox. It's also happening on PlayStation 4, even after the quality of life update! Not only that, but there's a lag with clicking on characters and getting them to do what you want. And I mean, being able to have the wheel pop up to make a selection. In my absolute honest opinion, a brand new host service needs to take this game out of the hands of EA and let a REAL gaming company reproduce this work of art and show EA how it's done exactly! This is the ONLY game I have issues with on my PS4. I recently bought a BRAND NEW HD for it, and all my other games are lightning fast, which is an upgrade to how they were reacting before the new HDD. Therefore, every single problem that occurs in SIMS 4 is at the fault of EA and their half-baked methods of making this game its best! And * don't give a crap about the PC version! So if any manager or Maxis or EA rep even so much ask me about PC, again, I'm going to give you a mouthful of hurt! You understand? The only way I'd ever care about PC, if porting would ever be allowed to switch platforms!!!!
