The Sims4 Building errors

Encountering some frustrating building errors since a few months.

- 2 Rows building options in below screen are in the way.
- Half walls can't be directly placed, you have to build a normal wall first...
- Colour picking most of the time not directly available when you choose an object.
- Most of the time the scrollbar through the items doesn't work.
- Often when you undo, it will go directly to the search engine.
- Today when building I couldn't place a fence, it must be applied to a room.
- Trying to move the house, unfortunately it's not possible.
- And why saving the game with R2?

    @Tammphen   Hello!  I'm sorry you are having so many issues.  Since you mentioned R2, I'm guessing you play the game on PS4 or PS5.  If so, there is a thread for console issues here.

    I see the problems with build/buy scroll bar and color swatches are known issues.  For the rest, perhaps you could try the "PlayStation Update and Power Instructions" to make sure your game and system are fully updated.  If you're game and system versions are up to date.  Then perhaps follow the instructions to reboot the system.  This is not mentioned in the thread but I think sometimes it helps to shut down the system and completely disconnect the power supply for a minute or two for a full system reboot. 

    I have a PS4 so I'm familiar with how games can glitch sometimes. However, I play TS4 on PC so I'm tagging @simsplayer818 since they play on console and might be able to offer some advice.  Hopefully they don't mind the tag. :-)

    I don't mind at all @JonaO703 😀. The changes to build mode on console were from patch 1.69 about 5 weeks ago in an effort to improve console controls but unfortunately it's resulted in some unintentional issues. I'm sticking to small builds and apartments for now. So @Tammphen there is a main thread containing as much detailed feedback from us as possible so that we can help the team to put together fixes for our issues.

    We don't have an estimated time yet and we've been a little impatient but there was a tweet a couple of weeks ago saying that feedback is being listened to and fixes are on the way at some point.

    I have had the issue with the fences as it was defaulting to the "yard" setting and I had to keep putting it back to the first fence option. Another thing you can try is to draw with the Wall Tool first, then use the Replace option with a fence of your choice because that can work. I haven't had the issue with half walls though, you may find that on the Bug Reports thread.

    The build catalogue now stays open permanently which is something we've asked to be looked at again if possible as it does get in the way unfortunately. I also had trouble moving a house and I finally managed to do it by zooming out as far as I could. The catalogue was getting in the way of placing the house and it took several attempts to try and get out of it's way.

    I've also reported that my controls switch between the new options and the old options.

    @JonaO703 You're very welcome, anytime!

    @Tammphen I found another problem with moving houses  I don't know if it's the one you've been having but I found that if you select the Move House tool the pointer gets stuck in the tool bar and you can't move it over to click on the house. I found that if I chose the Back command a few times, I got it moving again and when I clicked on the roof of the house the tool returned and I could select the building and move it. It is weird because usually the Back command would cancel the tool choice completely, but it worked.
