Unable to connect online

I know this has been an issue for a while. I've had this issue on and off for a good few months now. But now when I load in I try to connect online but when I do it says that i am unable to as an EA account is not linked. when i go to my settings and press link account it says my account is already linked and to reset. I do so and this cycle repeats. I am unable to access the gallery, events or the marketplace. During one of the events i missed out on gifts because of this exact issue. 

I've tried resting my game and console, but nothing works. My other games work and it's only the Sims 4 i'm having issues with. So it's like a Sim 4 issue and not an xbox network one. 

I am also having issues opening the game, almost every time i have to try and load it around 3 or 4 times or load into another game before being able to open and load into the sims 4, unsure if this issue may be related in a way.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

    apologies for replying once again, i'm wondering if this is possibly an issue with EA accounts and not just the sims. I was talking to someone else who plays the F1 25 game (which is a ea owned game) and they also have the same issue with it saying an EA account is not linked when it is. He is unable to play online with other people. Either way this is still an annoying issue that is likely affecting many people and not just the sims 4 hm

    I get it, it's honestly frustrating i can't access half of the game's features due to issues and bugs. I've been playing for years and had hardly any issues and just the past few months i've had more bugs than I have had over the past few years. There is also hardly any way to contact EA or anybody for help or support as they have removed almost all ways to do so. I just want to play the game without so many bugs that affect the whole experience, every update recently something else just breaks or big bugs don't get fixed..

    I am having this exact same problem, only it started after the 2.32 update. I honestly wish I had never bought this game and gotten involved with it.
