Walking the dog is bugged

I'm having an issue when my sim takes her dog for a walk. They walk to a certain place then just stop there for ages, usually the spawn in point for that neighbourhood, then just return home never going anywhere.

I'm in henford in the lot next to the creature keepers house and sometimes walking over the bridges my sim just spins in circles for a bit then her dog wanders into the river while still leashed.

In typical sims fashion they resume their walk like her dog didn't just dissappear into the river and she never lost her mind on the bridge lol

@EA_Cath Thank you for replying, I've added a me too and put a description of the spinning issue I'm seeing in the thread you posted 🙂

Last night I made my sim walk her dog many many times and I noticed that when they get to a point and stand still for ages on a walk a prompt to praise/ talk to pet etc queues up but never drops down, if I cancel it they still don't move, but if I click on her dog and choose a learned command like speak or roll over etc it drops down, completes, and then they start walking again but if I select them to go home it never drops down and is ignored.
Thankfully I've managed to kind of find a work around for the time being but would it be worth me putting in a bug report for this issue??

After all this time I've figured out what causes the spin out in my game. Theres a hole in the bridge that sims clip into, pop out and start spinning because they can't route around it. So far I've seen two foxes, three Townies and my sims dog cross the bridge fall down into it and pop out to start spinning.

Very weird but hey least I know it's a hole causing the mayhem lol maybe this is the same thing that happens in city living??
