Xbox 1 buttons stopped working sims 4

Xbox 1 controller buttons quit working in create a sim, outside of game they still worked but in game they stopped. Spent 3 hours working on a family just for all my buttons to stop working, couldn’t save them or do anything so I had to reset the game and lost all my progress, beyond upset and sad. Had a bad day and all I wanted to do was play my game and now I’m just shutting it off and going to bed. Anyone else have this issue?

    Hi @RamenBOIO46,

Was this only happening in CAS, and were all buttons unresponsive or only a few?

Please try a full power cycle on your console with these steps and let me know if this happens again:

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. This will shut down your console completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 30 seconds so the power supply is reset.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.
  • I was able to fix it by restarting the game (yes I was in CAS) and I lost the sims I was making in the process and had to restart making the family

  • @RamenBOIO46 Yeah this happened to me yesterday too on ps5 the only thing i could do was scroll down all other buttons didn't work fortunately after about 5 minutes it started working again weird though
