❗️ Sims 4 crashing/freezing, Intel HD 4000

    @scharry03

    You're running an out of date version of Mojave, 10.14.1. Please can you update to the current level in System Preferences and see if that makes a difference.

@wtvcarolina yes I just bought it!!
Did EA try to help in anyway?
Its so weird because sometimes it works for a little bit and sometimes it crashes straight away!
I might try and download osCatalina and see if that helps - hopefully won't cause any new problems

They did try to help!! But nothing worked as my game still doesn’t work. My game doesn’t work for very long, probably a minute in gameplay, create a sim is the only place it doesn’t crash. If you do update your OS tell me if it helped! I’m kinda scared of updating mine as the only time I did it (from Yosemite to High Sierra) it broke my laptop and I had to get it fixed by professionals.

    @wtvcarolina the exact same thing happens to mine!! create a sim is fine but anything else doesn't work! i have loads of GB space on my laptop so I dont know why actually playing the game is an issue.
    Also just tried to install catalina and it says I'm not formatted as APFS (no idea what that means) so Ill have to wait a couple days for my dad to fix it so that i can hopefully install it!! will keep you updated but hopefully in the meantime another solution will be found

      Which exact versions of macOS are you both running?

        @Bluebellflora I am running osMojave 10.14.3 - the only update I can get is Catalina, so dont think I can update to 10.14.6
