Hey guys, I just bought a new iMac, and I currently play my game on an external hard drive on my MacBook. Will I need to create a new symlink on the new computer? I'm assuming since the game and all the files are already on the external hard drive, then I will only need to do step 2 of Bluebellflora's steps for creating a symlink?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    You should reverse the symlink on the old computer (best practice) then redo it on the new Mac. Yes, you should only need to do step 2 if there isn't already an Electronic Arts/TS4 folder the new machine.

      Awesome! I did that and didn’t open the game until I created the symlink. Worked perfectly. I did not want to reverse the symlink, bc I would like the option to still play on my MacBook if traveling or something like that. 

      Is that ok to do?

        Yes but I would make sure the drive is plugged into the MacBook before you start up the machine. The OS will mount it and see the symlink straight away.
