You should reverse the symlink on the old computer (best practice) then redo it on the new Mac. Yes, you should only need to do step 2 if there isn't already an Electronic Arts/TS4 folder the new machine.

Awesome! I did that and didn’t open the game until I created the symlink. Worked perfectly. I did not want to reverse the symlink, bc I would like the option to still play on my MacBook if traveling or something like that.
Is that ok to do?

Yes but I would make sure the drive is plugged into the MacBook before you start up the machine. The OS will mount it and see the symlink straight away.- 2 years ago
