I keep getting the error message "Unable to start... The Sims 4 is already running"
- make sure the external drive is correctly plugged in and mounted.
- check the game has permission to access the external drive.
- check Origin has access to the external drive.
hi! this is happening since this last update (15/12/23) and I wanna fix it, but how can I tell if the game/origin has access to the external drive? I know the game is located in the external drive, but not origin.
also the drive is plugged correctly 🙂

Game updates are not directly linked to the symlink as the game installation is completely separate to the Sims 4 folder.

No idea. If you’re sure you successfully created the symlink maybe the best option would be to reverse it and start again.
